i've learn about more than one chief in this chapter. so i guess , it is important for me to be able to differentiate the responsibilities of each of the chief. there are chief information officer (CIO), chief technology officer (CTO), chief privacy officer (CPO), chief security officer (CSO), and chief knowledge officer (CKO). Down here , i list you the definitions of all chief that i just stated before.

Chief Information Officer (CIO) – oversees all uses of IT and ensures the strategic alignment of IT with business goals and objectives

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – responsible for ensuring the throughput, speed, accuracy,
availability, and reliability of IT

Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) – responsible for ensuring the ethical and legal use of information

Chief Security Officer (CSO) – responsible for ensuring the security of IT systems

Chief Knowledge Office (CKO) - responsible for collecting, maintaining, and distributing the
organization’s knowledge

i can also explain about the gap between IT people and business people. business people posses expertise
in functional areas such as marketing, accounting, and sales. whereas the IT people have the technological
expertise. this gap typically causes a communication gap between IT people and business people.

CHAPTER 4
MEASURING THE SUCCESS OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

In this chapter I learned that organizations spend enormous sums of money on IT to compete in nowadays fast-paced business environment.Effectiveness focuses on how well an organization is achieving its goals and objectives while efficiency focuses on the extent to which an organization is using its resources in an optimal way. however, success in one area does not necessarily imply success in the other.
I also realized that supply chain management metrics can make an organization understand how it's operating over a given time period. A good performance in one part of the supply chain is not sufficient. A supply chain is only as strong as its weakest link.thank you miss

Assalamualikum to Madam Salina. First of all, I want to apologize for the late of submitting the entry. Here, I want to comment about chapter two that is Identifying Competitive Advantages.1st, when we talk about technology is that an organization must create a competitive advantages which is a product or service that an organization’s customers place a greater value on that similar offerings from a competitor. I as a student needs to know about competitive advantages and be knowledgeable. What really matters is where the skills and highly competitive institutions are based. I was really excited to know more about this information of technology. It would be great if I can understand on how organizations watch their competition through environmental scanning. Besides that IT is the development of a marketing campaign management system that could target marketing campaigns more efficiently.
